Joyce Moberly Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stoess Funeral Home on Sep. 8, 2024.
Joyce Elaine Moberly, wife, mother, and Nammy, was called home on September 5, 2024. She was surrounded by her family when her heavenly angels met her on Earth and escorted her into Heaven.
Joyce is survived by her husband, John, her son, John Moberly II (Jennifer) and her daughter, Lisa Moberly. Her grandchildren; Cody Moberly (Danielle), Bailey Moberly, Reece Moberly, Libby Carroll, Hattie Carroll. Additionally, three great grandchildren; Talyn, Kensley, and Branson. Her brother Ricky Jackson (Cathy), sisters Robin Stang (Dave), Susie Sutton and several nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
She is preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Graham Felton (Glen), her brothers; Alfred Garnett Jackson (Nora), Vernon "Butch" Jackson (Carol), and Eddie Felton (Cathy). Her sisters; Joyce Ann Rose, Carla Felton, and Sandra Schaefer.
Joyce was born on October 13, 1944 in Louisville, KY. She married her lifelong best friend, John Moberly, in 1964. He was a dedicated husband and the love of her life. Their bond deepened with each passing year and they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Joyce's family was everything to her. She embraced her children and especially loved her role as Nammy. She could often be found at the ballpark cheering on her beloved grandchildren. When not at the ballpark, she and John loved going to Dairy Queen in Middletown where they met wonderful friends.
For many years, Joyce worked as a secretary at Saint Aloysius in Pewee Valley, KY. She later retired from the Brown-Foreman Corporation.
Joyce was a light to so many lives, a pillar of strength and a fierce protector of those she loved. Her family finds great comfort in knowing she is home with her maker. Our loss is heaven's gain.
Please join with us at Crestwood United Methodist Church to celebrate her life on September 11, 2024. Joyce's visitation will start at noon and will be followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM.
