Joyce Davillier Parker, a devoted Catholic, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on August 14, 2025, at the age of 90. A devoted Catholic, Joyce accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior early in life and received all her sacraments. She was a faithful parishioner of Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church, where she was also active in Respect for Life and Life and Lively. She prayed the rosary daily and honored the Blessed Mother throughout her life. She was welcomed into heaven by her husband; Melvin A. Parker Sr, daughter Bonnie Parker, parents; Hazel and Valence Davillier Sr., brothers Valence Jr., Vernon, Alvarez, Owen, and Reginald Davillier; sisters Vera D. Stevens and Dorothy D. Mansion; grandson Leroy Scott Jr., and great-grandson Leroy Scott III. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Clorette D. Moret; brother Conrad Davillier; children Carol P. Jackson (Marlon Sr.) and Melvin A. Parker Jr. (Leslie); 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom carries forward her legacy of love, faith, and devotion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 23, 2025, for 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church, 9701 Hammond Street, New Orleans, LA 70127. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the rosary being recited at 10:30 a.m. Father Joe, officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery and Mausoleum.
