With great sadness and much love, the family of Joyce E. Ruggeri announces her peaceful passing surrounded by her devoted children. Born in Ludlow to the late Francis and Stephanie (Wegiel) Votava, Joyce was raised and educated in West Springfield graduating from West Springfield High School class of 1964. The same year she wed her beloved Frederick Ruggeri, and they welcomed their family and spent many wonderful years together until his passing. Joyce was a dedicated mother who created a nurturing environment for her children, instilling in them her values for a happy life. She also was a valuable member of the team at Buxton Manufacturing until her retirement. Her family was always her most important priority and she used her cooking and baking skills creating delicious meals which will long be remembered. Her homemade pasta of all varieties was second to none. She looked forward to every opportunity to be with her loved ones. She also enjoyed gardening and fishing. Her warm spirit, loving heart and sense of humor will remain a lasting memory to all those whose lives she touched.
Surviving Joyce are her three devoted sons, Steven and his wife Teresa Ruggeri, Michael Ruggeri and David Ruggeri. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren Kristina and Angelo and extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frederick on December 5,2020.
Visitation with her family will be held on Tuesday August 12,2025 from 4- 6 P.M. at the Agawam Funeral Home 184 Main Street. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday at 10:00AM August 13,2025 for an 11 A.M. funeral home service Burial will be private. For those wishing to remember Joyce in a special way the family suggests donations be made to Dakin Humane Society 171 Union Street Springfield MA
