Joyce Irene Snyder

Joyce Irene Snyder, age 78, of Marion, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Marion General Hospital.
Joyce was born February 27, 1947, in Marion, Ohio, the daughter of Elmer Harrison and Minnie Margaret (Waiter) Heller. She received her education in Marion and was a graduate of Harding High School.
Joyce was united in marriage on July 8, 1965 to her longtime childhood sweetheart, Leslie Milton Snyder. Together, they made their home in Marion, where they raised their beloved son, Marc Snyder.
A longtime hairdresser in the Marion area, Joyce spent many years serving the community. Through her work, she built countless friendships and touched many lives before retiring.
Joyce found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She and Les loved country living, where she enjoyed feeding and watching wildlife and tending to her beautiful flower gardens. Going out to dinner was something she often looked forward to. She cherished memories made while camping at Lake Erie and traveling to many other destinations. Above all else, Joyce treasured her family, especially the time spent with her adored grandchildren.
Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Leslie Snyder; her son and daughter-in-law Marc and Angela Snyder; grandchildren: Sydnee and Brooklyn; and her brother, Elza (Dee) Heller.
Private services will be held for the family.
