Joyce Turner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home - Jacksonville on Dec. 15, 2025.
Joyce Turner, 90, of Cabot passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025. She was born April 29, 1935 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to the late Emery and Eva Garrison Kimsey. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Turner; her precious daughter, Rebecca (Beckie) Ann Berg; son-in -law, Danny Berg; siblings Harold, Bobby, Don Kimsey, Dorothy Ransom, Kenny Dryden; grandson, Chad Jones.

Joyce loved boating with her husband Dan during the years they lived in Florida. They were even members of a boating club that traveled all over! They loved taking their family out on the boat when they would come to visit. Family meant everything to Joyce and she treasured every moment spent surrounded by the people she loved most. She always had a swimming pool wherever she lived. So many precious memories were made around the pool! It gave cousins a chance to gather at 'Nana's' house, swimming and making memories. When Joyce was in her younger years, she absolutely loved going to a good Honkey Tonk where she could unwind and dance the night away! Joyce had such a vibrant and energetic personality. Her work ethic was unmatched by anyone! Co-workers adored her and would always rave about her hard work and kindness to everyone! Joyce's memory will forever be cherished by her family and all who were blessed to share in her journey.

Left to cherish Joyce's memory are her daughter, Wanda Vickers; sisters, Bonnie Brackett and Shirley Copeland; Grandchildren, Dustin Vickers and wife Mandi, Terri (Berg) Holsted and husband, Chad, Sara (Vickers) Pool and husband, Danny, Jyl (Vickers) Sullivan and husband, Wayne, and Tami (Berg) LaBakis; Great Grandchildren that adored their 'Nana' are Tanner, Ella, Lily, Chase, Reese, Cooper, Chloe, Sophia, Samuel, Luke, Owen, Emmy, Anabelle, Kaedyn. Joyce often expressed at family gatherings how blessed she was to have the most amazing grandchildren/family.
