Larry Green Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by A Natural State Funeral Service & Crematory on Feb. 12, 2026.
Larry Joe Green, 76, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away on February 9, 2026, at Baptist Health in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born on September 10, 1949, in Conway, Arkansas, Larry lived a life grounded in faith, family, and dedication.

A graduate of Mayflower High School's Class of 1967, Larry built a long-standing career in the construction and maintenance industry. He retired from Highland Dairy in 2014 after many years of committed service.

Larry's faith was a guiding force throughout his life. A lifelong Baptist, he served as a worship leader for many years, sharing his passion for music and ministry with his church community. His presence and leadership left a meaningful impact on those who worshipped alongside him.

He found joy in traveling and sightseeing with his beloved wife, Phyllis. Their adventures together created lasting memories. Camping was another favorite pastime that brought him peace and fulfillment. He enjoyed going to the beach with his family.

Family was central to Larry's life. He is survived by his loving wife, of 58 years Phyllis; sons Chris (Tina) and Jeff (Christie); brothers Richard Green (Becky) and Gary Green (Madeline); sisters Maggie Schulz and Becky Green; and a special sister-in-law Sylvia Dycus (Tommy). He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who were dear to him.

Larry cherished his grandchildren-Emily Henry (Aaron), Jacob, and Joshua Green-and spoke of them with great pride. His love deepened with the arrival of his great-grandchildren Madalyn Sterling-Grace and Brantley Dewan Henry. At the time of his passing, he was joyfully awaiting the birth of his third great-grandchild, Beaux Jackson Henry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Jessie Green; brother Joe Carrol Green; and sister Maxine Green.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on February 16, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at A Natural State Funeral Home, 2620 W Main Street, Jacksonville AR.

Larry's legacy is one of devotion-to God, to family, and to a life well lived. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
