Juan F. Cruz, 74, "The OG", of Bethlehem, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at his home. Born on February 15, 1951, in Florida, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Francisco and Dominga Guzman (Cruz).
Juan also known as "Junior" to many of his friends and family. He will be remembered for his warm spirit, his love of fixing cars and playing pool. His infectious humor and big heart made him a beloved figure, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Juan's legacy will live on in the many lives he touched with his kindness and laughter.
Juan will be dearly missed by his children, Johnny Cruz, Mitzi Cruz, Alicia Cruz, April Pagan and her husband, Michael; 12 grandchildren, Johnny Jr., Davilee, Jarid, Dynasty, Nori, Michael, Julian, Jaylin, Jamia, Julianna, Julyus, and Jasiah; two great-grandchildren, Myles and Kadalyse; the mother of his children, Nitza Davila; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Juan is preceded in death by his daughter, Lizenda E. Cruz and two brothers.
Juan will be laid to rest shortly thereafter in a disposition ceremony befitting of the remarkable man he was. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know him.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 12-1:15 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a funeral service beginning at 1:15 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Juan's family to help with funeral expenses. Checks may be made payable to "Mitzi Cruz". Any donations may be mailed to the funeral home or dropped off.
