Juan R Gallegos Jr

Juan R. Gallegos, Jr. was born in Del Rio, Texas on April 6, 1945. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on May 18, 2024 at the age of 79 years. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, brothers and sisters.
Juan is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beatrice Gallegos. Also by his children, Mayra Rhyne (David), Dorma Casares (Joe Vasquez), Oneida Yglesias (Gino), Juan Gallegos III, and Omega Gallardo (Alfredo). 16 grandkids Rubi (Lupe), David (Desarae), Josue (Rebecca), Brittany (Joshua), Fernando III, Francisco (Kim), Laura (Sebastian), Destiny (Tristan), Daniella, Erik, Ray, Raul, Michael, Aaron, Lydia and Miguel. 10 great grandkids, 2 sisters Francis Mussmann & Norma (Leti) Gallegoz, 2 brothers Rosalie & Arturo Gallegos and numerous nieces and nephews.
Juan was a resident of Texas City, Texas. Was an active member, Deacon, bus driver, RA and Sunday School teacher of 1st Baptist Church in Texas City, Texas. He enjoyed going on Mission trips to Mexico. He also enjoyed having his family together. He loved his grandkids and great grandkids dearly. He enjoyed watching his grandkids in all their activities. He loved watching the Houston Astros, old time movies, doing crossword puzzles and reading his newspaper. He was a retired engineer of United Space Alliance (NASA) for 35 years.

He is a PROUD Corporal US Marine and especially for his 2 grandsons Michael & Aaron Gallegos & his other nephews who also are US Marines. Semper Fidelis
