Juan Antonio Gonzalez
Juan Antonio Gonzalez Jr., age 45 found eternal peace on July 15th, 2025, in Milwaukee, WI. Treasured Son of Juan Antonio Gonzalez Sr., and Karen Sylvia Ellis (nee Hammer, Gonzalez), husband Earle Ellis, daughter Sarah Asbeck (step sister to Juan Antonio Gonzalez).
Cherished grandson of Sylvester G. Hammer and Judith A. Hammer (nee Keel), and precious Cousin of Tanya S. Bach (Mark) and his Uncle Donald A. Zellmer (the late Aunt Carrey), and precious Cousin of Amanda Hill. Fondly remembered by Matthew Smith, his best friend of over 30 years, and many other loving friends and relatives.
Juan was a kind soul with a strong personality. He took pride in going by the beat of his own drum and you could never tell him something he did not already know. He played soccer, liked to bowl, played Susuki Violin, and loved to swim, skateboard, and loved to ride his favorite bike. He also took a cooking class that would later serve him well in cooking his native Mexican and American Indian (HoChunk and Oneida) cuisines with his Grandmother and Aunt Gloria. He loved his family and was kind to all animals. He grew up in Milwaukee, WI where he attended school at the Sacred Heart of Jesus, then earned his GED and went on to study to be a Medical Coding Specialist at Waukesha County Technical College. He had a reputation as a very hard worker at The Marriott Hotel and greeted people with a special smile no one could forget. He was Baptized and Confirmed as per Catholic Religion. He also enjoyed all types of music and working on his cars with clever and inventive fixes. He was a proud owner of his favorite cat named Blackfoot and he rescued many other cats that he would successfully rehabilitate from a life living on the streets. He was a spark from God and his light will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him to no end, and no matter what.
He will be laid to rest in eternal peace with his grandparents, at a private ceremony on a private family plot affectionately named Rest Haven Ln.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Arbor Foundation (plant a tree) or donate to the Wisconsin Humane Society in honor of his efforts to home & save stray cats.
It is with heavy hearts that we had to say goodbye so soon, but we take solace in knowing he is with God and those who hold him dear. May the Lord keep you and show you all the love and tenderness you deserve for all of eternity Juan Antonio Gonzalez, you are forever in our hearts and will see you again. God Bless your sweet soul!
