Our most beloved brother, son, nephew, and friend, Robert "Bobby" Gonzalez Jr. entered into the arms of the Heavenly Father on January 30, 2024, in Laredo, Texas. He was born on August 8, 1965 in East Chicago, Indiana. He graduated from United High School, class of 1985, having received his Associate's Degree in Woodcrafting from Laredo Junior College. He worked for the Coca-Cola distributing for 15 years. He continued to be an active alumni member of his Alma Mater, as well as being a great friend, active supporter of this community and loved by many. His joyful sense will forever be remembered.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Esther Gonzalez.
Surviving him are his siblings: Fred Javier Gonzalez, Monica Gonzalez-Espritt; nieces and nephews: Diego Espritt, A.J. Espritt, Aden Espritt, Sophia Espritt; aunts: Tia Norma Gonzales and Bertha Resendez, as well as the "primos and primas" from the Castinado, Charo, Martinez-Lepe, Curtis-Gonzalez families, and the Narvaez, and Resendez families of Nuevo Laredo, and his best friend, Juan Vasquez, and other friends and extended relatives.
The family will gather to celebrate his life on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 5 to 8 pm at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, with a Prayer Service being held at 7 pm.
A funeral service will be held at 9 am at Hillside Funerals & Cremations on Monday, February 5, 2024.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
