On Thursday, October 6, 2022, Juan Ovalle passed away at the age of 47. Juan was born on May 20, 1975, in Brownsville, Texas to Valentin and Marbelia (Montez) Ovalle.
Juan was preceded in death by his mother, Marbelia (Montez) Ovalle, and grandparents, Fortino and Hortencia (Lopez) Montez. He is survived by his father Valentin, his three children Brandy, Juan II, and Veronica, his brother David, sister Reyna Gonzalez, and several uncles, aunts, and cousins, two nieces, and two nephews.
Juan received his high school diploma from Porter High School in Brownsville, Texas. After high school, he served in the Marine Corps for four years. Juan was known for his work in pharmaceuticals and as a cook at C&C Wings. Juan enjoyed time cooking, watching Notre Dame and the Dallas Cowboys, bonding with family, and capturing life's greatest moments.
Funeral services, located at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (657 Springmart Blvd. in Brownsville, TX 78526), are as follows: On Thursday, October 13, 2022, public viewing will begin at 1:00 PM and conclude at 8:00 PM. On Friday, October 14, 2022, the funeral home will open at 11:00 AM, and burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Guillen Community Cemetery. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville, Texas. (956) 350-8485
