Juan J. Perez, of Camden, passed away on January 29, 2025, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Nurinalda Perez; Loving father of Janine, Jennifer (Angelo),William (Mildred), Carlos, JeAnna (Aristides), John Jr.(Mayra), and Rosa Linda. Cherished grandfather of Zianna, Naiya, Jesiana, Jorden, JeMari, Franky, Jonathan, Lukkus, Daniel, Andrew, Madeline, Alyssa, and Nicholas. Dear brother of Efrain, Antonio, Rosalia, Gloria, Chechy, Angie, and Edna; preceded in death by siblings Domingo, Felix, and Rafael Perez, as well as his parents, Felix and Rosalia Perez.
Juan better known as John or Johnny " I'm Good" Perez was born in Comerio, PR. At the age of 18 he left the island to begin his story. Johnny worked on many farms with his Brother Mingo as they made their way up and down the east coast. As time progressed Johnny found a love for cooking all kinds of meals and worked in many area restaurants sharpening his skills before becoming the lead Chef at RCA with one of his proudest moments having been being complimented directly by President Reagan for the meal he had prepared for him. Johnny was a phenomenal bowler whose enthusiasm would shake the rafters as he yelled " I'm Good" when getting strikes, and especially when landing the 7- 10 split.
He was a man of Faith who arose every morning at 4am to ensure all his prayers and devotions were said prior to beginning his day. He was a guitar player, a jokester, a confidant, an advisor, and the most loyal ally a person could find. He was a fan of wrestling and more than anything an LA fan to the core- celebrating most recently with a little dance when the Dodgers won the World Series.
Relatives and friends are invited to Juan's viewing on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 642 Market Street, Camden, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
