Juan Manuel Rodriguez, a devoted family man and veteran, passed away on July 3, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on November 7, 1948, Juan lived a life marked by commitment, love, and service to his country and family.
Juan proudly served his nation in the United States Army as a member of the 101st Airborne Division where he earned numerous commendations, including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal. His sacrifices and dedication during a tumultuous time for his country reflect his character and unwavering commitment to the ideals of liberty and service.
A true family man, Juan cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren. He took immense joy in barbecuing for gatherings, creating cherished memories through laughter and unity. A proud supporter of the sport, he found delight in watching boxing matches, an activity that brought him joy and camaraderie with family members.
Juan's legacy lives on through his beloved wife, Isabel Rodriguez, and his children, Johnny Joe Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez Jr., Jacobo E. Rodriguez, and Pam Rodriguez. He is also survived by his siblings, Irene Carrizales, Bertha Castaneda, and Jaime Rodriguez, alongside his six adoring grandchildren, Johnny Joe Rodriguez Jr., Ariel Garza, Aj Deleon, Jacob J. Rodriguez, Lorenzo Rodriguez, and Avery Rodriguez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan E. Rodriguez and Isabel Garcia Rodriguez, who instilled in him values of hard work, family, and love.
Juan Manuel Rodriguez will be remembered not only for his service and dedication, but also for the warmth and love he spread to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
Juan’s family will receive condolences on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St., from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
