There will be a viewing on Thursday February 29, 2024 from 10:00am-9:00pm at Anderson Bethany funeral home. Funeral Services will be Friday March 1, 2024 at Church On The Move at 10:00 am with Pastor Brent Shangraw officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Reception will be held at 1:00pm at Encanto Event Center.
Juan Carlos was born May 7, 1987 to Araceli Montes in Artesia, NM. He attended many schools but graduated from Goddard High School in 2005. On December 1, 2018 after 8 years of being together, Juan Carlos married the love of his life, Inez Sotelo in Roswell, NM. Anyone who knew Juan, knew how much he loved Inez and his girls. Everything that he did was always for them. Just as much as he loved his girls, he also loved the Dallas Cowboys. Juan Carlos made a huge impact on everyone he met. He was known for making people laugh and for his huge warm hugs. Juan Carlos will be greatly missed.
Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Juan Carlos are his wife, Inez Sotelo; four daughters: Eliana, Analiyah, Audrina and Evangeline; mother and stepfather Araceli and Joel Montes; grandparents Ricardo and Herminia Puentes; sister and brother-in-law: Sonia and Robert Hidalgo; brothers-in-law: Robert Contreras, Anthony and Lindsey Toscano, and Richard and Rebecca Toscano; aunts and uncles: Sandra and Manuel Delgado, Elizabeth and Gustavo Pantoja, Ricardo and Sara Puentes, Juan and Stacy Puentes and Minerva Puentes; Juan Carlos had a very special relationship with his mother and father-in-law, Robert and Lupe Contreras. Juan is also survived by his special niece, Milagros Hidalgo; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Juan Carlos is preceded in death by his uncle, Roberto Puentes.
Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Junior Puentes, Ricardo (Ricky) Puentes, Luis Delgado, Sergio Puentes, Alexandro Puentes, Raymond Romero, Jerryme Ledesma, and Néstor Rentería
Juan meant so many things to so many people. He was the version of himself that we all needed him to be for us. In his honor, we would like to name everyone that he ever made smile, his honorary pall bearer.
Juan's tribute was lovingly written by his family.
