Juanita Perry was born November 2, 1928 in Savannah, GA, the fourth of 16 children, to the late Rev. Joseph Perry and Elsie Herbert Perry. God called Juanita home to rest on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the age of 96.
She married the late Arthur Bacon in 1947, but separated in 1959 and relocated to Philadelphia with her children. She made raising her 6 children the focus of much of her adult life. Although she had completed schooling and become a licensed master beautician, in 1967 Juanita charted a new career path and became a certified nursing assistant serving in that position until retiring in 1991.
She had a love for people and a passion for helping others which endeared her to many.
She is pre-deceased by her mother, father, 15 siblings; sons, Anthony Bacon, Herman Bacon, and Arthur Bacon Jr., grandson; Jamar Bacon, granddaughter; Tyeast Thompson, and many relatives and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy, sons; Ronald Bacon (Brenda) and Richard Bacon, daughter; Patricia Braxton, daughters-in-love; Rev. Michelle Bacon and Rev. Della Bacon, sister-in-law; Marie Golden, granddaughters; Tonika Kidd (Brian), Jacinta Maddred (Rob), Jamila Bacon, and Jessica Bacon-Defieber, grandsons; Ronald Braxton II (Serena), Kevin Bacon
(Vanessa), Daren Bacon (Sha'niece), and Onaje Braxton (Delisha), 16 great grandchildren, numerous bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
