Juanita M. Menne, 84 of Gaylord, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Woodland Acres. Born May 30, 1940, in Belleville, MI., the daughter of Albert and Lois (Kenny) DeHetre.
Juanita graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in 1958, stayed in the Westland area for several years where she met and married her husband. They moved to Roscommon where they raised their three sons, to Monroe for a few years and then to Gaylord for since 2008.
She was a parishioner at St. Mary Cathedral, a member of the Altar Rosary Society, was active in the prayer chain and adoration. She retired after being an CNA for many years, then worked for Monral for 10 years and also worked for Crawford County Commission on Aging as a patient advocate. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, crocheting and knitting. She loved taking her sons camping especially when her boys were younger.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald Menne of Gaylord and Robert Menne of South Carolina; grandchildren, Robert, AJ, Anthony, Tayler, Jordon, Carson, Madeline and Nathaniel; brothers, Robert DeHetre of Garden City, Albert (Terri) DeHetre of Florida and Lois (Bruce) LaPointe of Ypsilanti.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Menne in 1996; her parents, Albert and Lois DeHetre; her son, Russell Menne Jr; and her brothers, Dennis DeHetre, Thomas DeHetre and Greg DeHetre.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:00 AM Thursday, May 15, 2025, at St. Thomas Aquinas in Elmira, where the family will visit with friends beginning at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Otsego County Animal Shelter.
