After a courageous battle with cancer, Juanita Elizabeth Morris 68, of Lynchburg, VA peacefully slipped  into eternal rest on Friday April 12, 2024 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. 

Born June 14, 1955, she was the first child of two and the oldest daughter of the late James R. and Myrtle S. Morris. In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by two sons: Lloyd Davis Jr. and Danny Morris. 

Juanita was small but mighty. She was very protective of her family and had an unwavering love for her  children. Even in the midst of her declining health, her concern was always with ensuring that her family were taken care of before worrying about herself. Juanita spent many years as a factory worker. She  loved music and dancing as well as relaxing while watching her favorite TV show, Dark Shadows. 

Left to carry on her legacy are her three daughters: Marlene Clark (Timothy), Amanda Morris, and  Barbara VanAusdal (Ravon); 5 grandchildren: Angelique Morris, LaQuan Morris, Ava, Mia, and Eli; three great grandchildren: Makayla, Makaysia, and McKinley; one brother: James Morris, as well as numerous relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 1 PM. at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg, Virginia. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the George Washington McDaniel Memorial Cemetery in Amherst, Virginia
