Juanita Tellman

Juanita Tellman, age 82, passed away on September 2nd, 2024. Born in Louisville, KY on March 23rd, 1942, she was the daughter of Phillip and Verna Mae Whaley.
Juanita was a Real Estate Agent/Broker by profession. She built a career she was proud of, valued her clients, and loved helping people find their forever-home.
There were many memories made with her children and grandchildren houseboating on the Ohio River. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and was always there to offer her wisdom and guidance to her family. She was a lifetime member of the Aero Club, where she held various positions and met many lifelong friends.
She loved gardening at her home and always said she felt closest to God when she was gardening. She often mentioned she considered her garden as her church. Along with her personal pets she dearly loved and spoiled, she was also involved with finding new homes for abandoned pets.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Jack; son, Johnny Tellman; and her niece, Marie Pollina.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Dana (Chuck) Sapp; son, Eric Tellman; grandchildren, Josh Coffman, Jeremy Holt and Jennifer Holt; great-granddaughter; Autumn Holt; sisters, Ramona Marsh, Jean Shuhy, Alene Gray; brothers, Mickey Whaley and Jim Whaley; sister-in-law, Suzanne Schofield; brother-in-law, Robert Tellman; several niece and nephews, and a host of friends.
Juanita's memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21st, 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
