Juanita Culpepper Wilson, age 97, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025, at Heritage Inn of Barnesville. A special thank you to the staff at Heritage Inn Barnesville for making her final days peaceful and full of love.

Juanita was born on July 3, 1928, in Griffin, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her spouse Durell "Lappy" Wilson Sr., her parents, R. G. Culpepper and Vera Culpepper; and siblings, Albert Culpepper, Frances White, Bessie Gunter, and R. G. Culpepper and nephew Steve Rogers. Juanita retired as a switchboard operator at Dundee Mills. She loved her family above all else. Juanita was a member of Hanleiter United Methodist Church and attended Connection Church where she made lasting friendships with members from both churches who she loved and was grateful to have in her life.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Durell and Tammy Wilson. Niece, Carol Darden husband Harry (Carrie). Niece, Marlene Maines (Annesa, Mandy). Nephew, John White wife Karen (Jared). Niece, Kim Bailey husband Gary (Courtney and Stephen). She also had a Great Great Nephew and Great Great Nieces. Many extended family members including The Bridges and The Presslys whom she dearly loved.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service in the chapel. Lead Pastor Neil Norman of Connection Church will officiate. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
