Jud-Ryan "Jud" Scott Stanfield, 46, of El Dorado, passed away on August 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 3, 1978, to Kevin and Crystal (Johnson) Stanfield, Jud was a man who lived with grit, heart, and an unwavering faith in the Lord.
On March 18, 2000, Jud married the love of his life, Salena (Reynolds) Stanfield. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. His greatest pride was being the devoted father of two beautiful daughters, Karis and Rylan, who were the light of his life.
Jud was a man of many talents and deep passions. He loved the quiet patience of fishing and the thrill of the hunt. He had a knack for leatherwork and welding, and never hesitated to share his skills with others-he was always teaching, always helping. Jud had a reverence for history, an ear for sermons that could fill entire afternoons, and a special place in his heart for old trucks, especially his beloved '72 Chevy.
He found joy in the outdoors - whether that be cooking, training horses, or spending the weekends camping. Most of all, Jud was a family man through and through.
Jud lived simply, worked hard, and loved deeply. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, kindness, and strength that will live on in all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Salena Stanfield, of El Dorado; daughters, Karis (fiancé Jaden Taylor) and Rylan Stanfield; his parents, Kevin and Crystal Stanfield, of El Dorado; brother, Dustin and Jessica Stanfield, of El Dorado; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mike and Karen Reynolds, of Augusta; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Adrian and Troy Webster and Wesley and Monica Reynolds; grandmother, Doris Stanfield; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jud was preceded in passing by his 2 grandfathers, Robert "Bob" Stanfield and Frank Johnson; grandmother, Barbara Gaston; great-grandmother, Lucile Hacker; and great-grandfather, Arthur Johnson.
