Judith Marie Bray Bagwell, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025 . Born on October 8, 1960, Judy lived a life filled with love, compassion, and faith.
She was married to her devoted husband, Michael Bagwell, for 44 wonderful years. Judy had a remarkable talent for cooking and was known as an excellent cook who poured her heart into every meal she made. She also enjoyed sewing and even made many of her own clothes. Her creativity and care touched every aspect of her life.
Judy's heart for children was extraordinary. She served as a foster parent, opening her home and heart to many children over the years and making a lasting difference in their lives. She was an active and involved parent, always participating in her children's school activities and encouraging them in everything they did.
She was a lifetime member of the Bob Jones University Alumni Association, Judy was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church located in Hampton, Ga., where she was especially passionate about the Awana program. Her love for the Lord and her church family shone brightly in all she did. She also loved to travel and explore new places, creating wonderful memories with her loved ones.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Michael Bagwell; her children, Hannah Bagwell , Christopher Bagwell and Abigail Millan (Alex); her brothers, Steve Bray and Tim Bray. She was joyfully anticipating the arrival of her first grandchild in the near future.
Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the many lives she touched.
