Judith L. "Judy" Bell age 77 of Painesville passed away unexpectedly due to complications from a routine surgery on March 29, 2024, at Cleveland UH. She was born on May 22, 1946, in Cleveland to the late Emerson and Dorothy (nee: Norris) Trushel, Sr. Judy was a graduate of Chardon High School and was a proud Hilltopper Majorette. She was a homemaker before she worked at Bank One and later retired from Lake East Hospital System. Judy had an unwavering, undeniable and a true unconditional love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dale and Judy were united in marriage on June 5, 1965, and shared 39 years of marriage until his untimely passing in 2004. In 1977 they found their forever home and she laid the roots by creating a home filled with comfort, security, love, and laughter and welcomed all with open arms. Judy was still living in her home at the time of her passing and for decades she would refer to it as her "little slice of heaven." One of her favorite places was sitting on the back patio and just overlooking their beautiful yard. She passionately attended every sporting event for all her children and cheered and cheered loud! It was a different story when she was at her grandchildren's' events-everyone knew she was there, and her presence was evident through her cheering and heckling. Judy was happiest when with her family and when she became a grandma, she was affectionately referred to as "Grandma Bell" by all that knew her. Heaven gained a beautiful angel who, while on Earth, was the most unselfish, giving and caring person to her family and friends and cherished them beyond measure.
Judy is survived by her children; Kimberly (Joseph) Rinella, Kurt (Kimberly) Bell, and Kelly (Hans) Wildschutte; grandchildren, Mark (Sara Tomasheski) Rinella, Bradley (Madilyn Civiello) Rinella, Shawn (Jessica) Bell, Eric (Kennedy Caldwell) Bell, Olivia (Zach Greben) Bell, Mackenzie (Alex) Stotts; great grandchildren, Macklynn Stotts, Adlee Stotts, and Emma Rinella; brother, Emerson (Karen) Trushel, Jr; brother-in-law, Dan (Trish) Bell and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dale Bell; son-in-law, Jeremy Stewart; brother-in-law, Dennis Jeney; in-laws, Bert and Margaret Bell; and niece Kristine Trushel.
Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2024, from 6:00PM until the funeral service at 7:30PM at Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077. Interment will be on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 10:00AM in Concord Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Lake Humane Society at lakehumane.org.
