Judith Carol Billingsley

Judith Carol Sells Billingsley, 84, of Woodstock, GA, passed away on November 9, 2025, at her home.

Born on July 26, 1941, in Livingston, TN, to Coger and Ethel Sells, Judith devoted her life to caring for others. After graduating from the Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, where she was honored as Outstanding Nurse of her class, she spent eight years at Baptist Hospital. During that time, she married the love of her life, Wayne Billingsley, on February 11, 1965.

Judith and Wayne moved to Georgia in 1970, where she continued her calling as an operating room nurse at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta until her retirement. She was known for her steady hands, quiet strength, and deep compassion for every patient she served.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Coger and Ethel Sells. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wayne Billingsley; her children Barbara Haley, Leslie Clark, and James Billingsley; her grandchildren Jordan Chapman, Garrett Haley, Justin Clark, Jason Clark, Brooke Clark, Jack Billingsley, and Ava Billingsley; her great-grandchildren Sadie Chapman, Deacon Chapman, and Lainey Chapman; her sister Sandra Day; and her brother Ray Sells. Her family was the center of her life, and she delighted in every moment spent with them.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Lakeside Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the service beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Rolling Hills Memorial Park.
