Judith Carole Brown, known affectionately as Judy by her loved ones, graced this world with her presence on September 12, 1961, in
Little Rock, Arkansas. Judy's spirit took its heavenly fight on April 21st 2024 in
Austin, Texas, where she bravely concluded her battle with breast cancer.
Judy's journey was one of profound connection and devotion to her family. She was married to her soulmate, Gregory Brown, for 40 years. They raised two incredible sons, Brett and Kyle Brown, and she infused their lives with her nurturing presence and boundless love. Although Kyle preceded her in passing in 2014, Judy's love for him remained a constant, guiding light for her family. Her role as a mother-in-law to Danielle and Bree was equally cherished, as she embraced them with open arms and a generous heart.
Her role as a grandmother to Braylyn, Kenee, and Kolt was where Judy truly shone, her eyes always alight with joy and pride. She was the kind of grandmother who could turn an ordinary day into an adventure, a story, a precious memory that her grandchildren will cherish forever.
Judy was the cherished daughter of Charles and Loetta Beaty, who instilled in her the values of compassion and perseverance. Her best friend, Gina Wilkinson, stood by her side through thick and thin, their bond a testament to the enduring power of true friendship.
Professionally, Judy was a lead ultrasound technician at Dell Children's Hospital, where her expertise and caring nature touched the lives of countless children and families. Her colleagues knew her as a woman of immense strength and dedication, a professional who brought not only skill but also comfort and hope to her patients.
Judy's interests were a reflection of her beautiful spirit. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. Her sons and grandchildren were the center of her universe, and she reveled in every moment spent with them. Her love was a guiding force, a light that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she cherished. Her loving nature was the glue that held her family together, a love that was felt in every hug and every word of encouragement.
Judy was adamant that her illness would not define her, choosing instead to focus on the love and joy that surrounded her. She faced each day with strength and determination and was an inspiration to everyone around her, reminding us all that even in the face of adversity, the human spirit can triumph.
Words like loving, kind, and courageous only begin to scratch the surface of who Judy was. Her laughter was infectious, her advice was sought after, and her presence was a comfort. She had a unique ability to make each person feel important, heard, and loved.
As we reflect on Judy's life, let us not dwell on the sorrow of her passing but rather embrace the lessons she left behind. Let us find strength in her courage, warmth in her love, and joy in her kindness. Judy's legacy is not one of sadness but one of inspiration-a call to love deeply, to face life with bravery, and to be kind to all.
Judy, your light will never fade.
