Judith L. (Peters) Ewing, 84, of Huntingdon, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Oaks at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, following a brief illness. Born April 26, 1941 in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Hayes I. Peters and H. Louise (Kennedy) Peters. She was united in marriage to LeRoy P. "Bud" Ewing on December 9, 1961, at the Twelfth Street United Brethren Church, Huntingdon. Mr. Ewing preceded her in death on March 8, 1993, after 32 years of marriage.

She is survived by two children, Brian Lee Ewing and wife, Kelly, of Huntingdon, and Michele Joyce Ewing of Durham, NC; and two granddaughters, Kaitlyn E. Getz and husband, Dustin, of Huntingdon, and Kristin E. Brown and husband, Byron, of Carnegie. She is also survived by her sister and brother, Donna L. Kelce and Steven H. Peters and wife, Brooke, all of Huntingdon; as well as, a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce L. Peters.

Mrs. Ewing was a member of the former Oneida Township Volunteer Fire Department where she actively participated in their fundraising events. She also volunteered with Huntingdon Meals on Wheels for over 20 years.

She attended Huntingdon public schools and was a 1959 graduate of Huntingdon High School.

During her working career, Mrs. Ewing was employed in various secretarial positions.

She was an avid reader who enjoyed walking, hiking, flower gardening, and doing crafts. She also had a fondness for her animals, especially her cats. Mrs. Ewing will always be remembered by her family for her wonderful homemade cookies and how immaculately organized she kept her home.
