Judith Anne Frank Fournier, 86, formerly of Waterbury, CT passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025 at her home in Farmington, CT.
Judy was born September 8, 1938 in the Bronx, NY. She was the daughter of the late Moses and Fannie (Bloom) Kassner, and predeceased by her sister Esther Schwartz and brother Harold Kassner. She was the wife of the late Joel Frank, with whom she shared 20 wonderful years. They are survived by their children Mark Frank, Loren Pelosi and Gail Goldschmidt, and six grandchildren Kyle Frank, James and Alyssa Pelosi, and Justin, Brian and Jennifer Goldschmidt. Judy was also predeceased by her second husband, Fred Fournier, with whom she spent 35 very happy years as well.
Judy and Joel were Co-Owners of the Joel's Shoebox and Joel's Bootery shoe store chain for many years. She then went on to work at Dymax Corporation as Office Manager for 20+ years followed by a decade working in the office at the Western CT. Area Agency on Aging.
She was an avid reader and gardener, enjoyed working on puzzles, listening to music and loved dancing. She loved hosting holiday gatherings where traditions were built and special memories were made for the entire family.
Her family would sincerely like to thank the C.N.A.s and Nurses at Brookdale Gables, Farmington for the great personal care they gave their mom over the last five years.
Arrangements – A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025 at 12:30 at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 496 Chase Ave. Waterbury CT. 06704. Burial will follow at Brass City Lodge Cemetery, Stillson Rd. Waterbury CT. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
