Judith "Judy" (Runau) Gansman, 84, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville.
Judy was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 2, 1941, to the late Albert and Ester (Banfield) Runau. She was a graduate of Mater Dei High School and worked for Springfield Wire and General Foods. Judy was a history buff who loved antiques and could often be found attending yard sales and auctions. She enjoyed being outdoors, camping, and traveling alongside her family. Judy was a devoted grandmother and found great joy in spoiling her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Judy is survived by her son, David Gansman; sister, Sandy Weinzapfel (Jim); grandchildren, Jason Gansman (Kristina), Jeremy Gansman (Dana), and Jessica Kneer (Shane); and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Harold Gansman in 2024 and sister, Delores Allen.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5301 Daylight Dr., Evansville, IN 47725, with Fr. Chris Forler celebrating. Burial will follow at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 9:00 am until mass time on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
