Judith "Judy" Ann Gary, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend, left us peacefully on January 13, 2026, at the age of 80. Born in Jennings, Louisiana, on May 18, 1945, Judith dedicated her life to her family and home, embodying the true spirit of a loving homemaker.
Judy was a woman of unwavering strength and kindness, whose life was marked by her deep love for her family. She cherished the years spent with her late husband, where they created a wealth of beautiful memories, often spent riding horses together under the Louisiana skies. Judith's warmth and compassion were felt by all who knew her, as she devoted her life to caring for her children and later, her cherished grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Gary and Charlotte (Michael) Granger; her son, Timothy (Vickie) Gary; her brothers, Kenneth (Hilda) Smith and Clayton (Melba) Smith; sister, Terri Smith Osborne; her sister-in-law, Regina Gary; her loving grandchildren, Nicole (Mark) Reed, Kyle Gaspard, Mallory (Kaleb Tomassi) Thibodeaux, Marina (Dillon) Delaney, Kendall (Jenna) Gary, Fallynn (Brennan) Norred, Kyle Guillory, Allie (Gregory Vidrine) Guillory, Brittany Guillory, Ty Gary, Lonna Gary, her great grandchildren, Rynlee, Tanner, Mia, Kamron, Brennah, Sadie, Wyatt, Avery, Harley Grace, Konner, Maverick, Rowel, Gus, Emma, Copen, Sophia, Fancee, Colton, Kason, Karsyn, Olivia, Charlee, Covin, Cullen, Maddox and Myles. Her legacy of love and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
The family will honor Mrs. Judy's life with a public visitation on January 18, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. A rosary will be held at 2:30 PM, in which all will take place at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, LA. A cremation will take place following the visitation, under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
A graveside service with inurnment will take place on Friday January 23, 2026, at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, at 10:00 AM under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Judith was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gary; parents, Gaston and Helen Smith; brother, Aaron Smith; her brother and sister in laws, Michael Gary, Robert Osborne, Margie Gary, Milton Gary, and Margaret Gary; and her father and mother-in-law, Avery and Mary Gary
In this time of sorrow, we hold close the memories of Judith's caring spirit and the love she shared so generously. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
