Graveside funeral services celebrating the life of Judith "Judy" A. Grogan, 81, of Heath, will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Johnstown, 1:30 P.M., Thursday, January 8, 2026, with Fr. Brandimarti as celebrant. Visitation will be held at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, from 12 Noon-1 P.M., Thursday.

Judy died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, surrounded by the love of her family, on Sunday, January 4, 2026. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 25, 1944, to the late John and Suzanne (Hayes) Kane.

A graduate of St. Joseph High School, Judy worked in the call center of J.C. Penney for many years. She was a longtime parishioner of the Church of the Ascension, Johnstown, and St. Mathews Catholic Church, Gahanna.

Judy enjoyed nature and loved to watch the birds. She was a fan of Fox News, The View and QVC. Above all, she loved to spend time with her family.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Jodi (Tom) Mays, Jill Eader, Jennifer (Mike) Cloud, Jimmy Grogan, and Joey (Irene Gain) Grogan; 13 grandchildren, Holly (Nick) Zortman, Hanna (Mackenzie) Colgan Mays, Hunter Mays, Jessica Linn, Jordan Linn, Savannah (Gabe) Grubb, Shelby Cloud, Grant (Brenae) Grogan, Alexa Grogan, Ashlyn Grogan, Anthony Marcum, Korrin Roehrenbeck, and Mackenzie Grogan; 8 great-grandchildren (with another soon to be born), Amelia, Grayson, Mia, Phoenix, Forest, Autumn, Hudson, and Summer; siblings, Molly Walters, Jack Kane and Pat Kane; several nieces and nephews; and her favorite canine companion, Suzy.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James M. Grogan; infant daughter, Juliann Grogan; granddaughter, Kaelynn Grogan; son-in-law, Ric Eader; and brothers-in-law, Beryl Walters and Albert Grogan.

Memorials in Judy's name can be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, Ohio 43055.
