Judith A. "Judy" Halteman

Judith A "Judy" Halteman died peacefully in her sleep at Alden North Shore, Skokie, on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the age of 80.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Elvira Halteman; her siblings, Terry Halteman and Donna Eakright; and many other family and friends. She is survived by her nephew, Blake Eakright (Kathryn); her niece, Erin Whitfield (Jef); her grand-niece, Ella Whitfield; her niece, Jessica Creasy (Justin, Emily & Jaiden); her sister-in-law, Shar Halteman; her brother-in-law, Glenn Eakright; and many friends.
Judy was an extremely generous person who was passionate about many things. She worked as the Senior Accounting Clerk at the Village of Skokie for 40 years, where she made many lifelong friends. Judy enjoyed volunteering as a leader for a Girls Group, as well as at Shore, for many years. While Judy never had kids of her own, she had a big place in her heart for them. She was a Sunday School teacher at Edgebrook Community Church for many years, performing clowning for many parties and events, and babysat for many children. Additionally, Judy loved traveling, baking, making crafts, and spending time with her numerous friends and family.
Celebration of Life, Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.
