Judith Ellen Handsaker, 73 of Colo, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025.
Judith was born June 21st, 1952, in Marshalltown, Iowa, she was the daughter of John Robbins and Barbara Akers. She graduated in 1970 from Marshalltown High School.
On October 20th, 1980, she married the love of her life Dannie Handsaker. With this union 3 rambunctious, energetic boys were added to the family, Jim, Jerry, and John. Judith was a very strong Christian. She became an ordained minister with the Christian Global Outreach Ministries. Where she mentored many people and one way she did this was her Friday night pod cast From the Word Bible teachings. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing card games with friends and family. In her other spare time if you truly knew her, she never sat down and so filled this time with cooking, baking, sewing, and numerous other crafts.
Judith enjoyed spending time with family and cousin's weekend every year was an event that she looked forward to.
Judith is survived by her loving husband Dannie of Colo, Stepfather Willis Neitzel, MN, Sons Jim (Odette) of Colo, Jerry (Sarah) of South Dakota, and John (Stacey) of Colo. And many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brothers; Rick Gross, of Dixon, Ill, Scott Gross, of Owatonna, MN; sister Peggy Muse of Dixon, Ill. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Judith was preceded in death by parents, a brother David, and a sister Lonnie Miller.
A celebration of life will be held at LifePointe Church 409 13th St. in Ames 50010, on August 9th, from 10am until 2pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Judith's name to Story County Animal Shelter.
