Judith Hill Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by DeBaun Funeral Homes & Crematory - Springhill Chapel on Apr. 18, 2025.
Judith Ann Darrah Hill, 79, of Terre Haute passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. She was born May 24, 1945, in Blandinsville, Illinois to Ambrose Darrah and Fern Wagoner Darrah. Judy loved gardening and tending to her flowers. Being outdoors and enjoying nature was among her favorite things. Judy also enjoyed playing croquet with the family. She was in a card group, and she was a great Euchre player. When Judy was 12, she had a horse and rode it everywhere. This was one of the happiest times of her life. Most of all being with her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her the most joy. Her family was her greatest treasure and proudest accomplishment.
Judy is survived by her sons Heath Schoelkopf and Jeff Schoelkopf (Kim), grandchildren Austin Schoelkopf (Olivia), Ethan Schoelkopf (Alexis), Earon Schoelkopf, Tori Schoelkopf, and Ashli Schoelkopf; great grandchildren Bella Chambers, Luna Schoelkopf, Roman Schoelkopf, Luke Schoelkopf, and Emerson Schoelkopf; cousins Chris Rupple and her son Brandon, and Mark Darrah; daughter-in-law Carla, sister-in-law Katherine Darrah, and lifelong friend Marilyn Bertocchi. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother John Darrah.
Cremation was entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the staff of Cobblestone Crossing for the care and compassion given to Judy during her stay there. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Clark-Landsbaum Deming Park Holly Arboretum. Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
