Judith Louise Johnson, age 61, of Mt. Carroll, IL, went to heaven on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, after her battle with pain and illness. She died at home with loved ones surrounding her. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, August 28, at Law Jones Funeral Home, in Mt. Carroll. Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., prior to the service. Judy was born on January 25, 1964, in Geneseo, IL, to Fred and Jeanne (Thomas) Moore. Judy's parents both died at a young age, making her the strong, determined woman that she was. Always sticking up for the weak and less fortunate, she had an open heart for everyone. She grew up a lover of the outdoors, often camping and fishing, and she loved animals; especially her two macaws, Max and Aspen, and her dog, Otis. She also loved riding her sportster and listening to live music with a little gambling on the side. Judy worked many jobs including Metro Rubber where unbeknownst to her, she would meet the love of her life. She worked at Gelman Sciences, in Michigan, and as a welder for Ford Motor Co. After injuries sidelined her, she moved back to the area and bartended at several bars including Hey Brians in the Quad Cities, and Poopy's, in Savanna. Later she became guardians of her three nephews and one niece, who she loved more than all the stars in the sky. She spent her last days with family and friends. In her death she left behind her best friend and love, Lee Tittsworth, of Mt. Carroll; her nephews, Nicholas, Nathen, Nevin; niece, Natasha; daughter, Danielle Pridemoore, of Orion, IL; sisters, Kelly Micheal, of Savanna, and Patritia Moore, of Savanna; brothers, Micheal Moore, of Rock Island, and Casy Moore, of Lena; best friends of many years, Jeffrey Johnson, of Savanna and Elizabeth Hough, of Mt. Carroll; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Judy is proceeded in death by a sister, Kim Medlen; mother, Jeanne; and father, Fred.
