Judith Lynn Keevil, age 84 of North Canton, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in St Luke Lutheran Home. She was born May 24, 1940, in Canton to Atlee and Pauline (Becker) Piero. Judith graduated from Lehman High School in 1958 and then, after graduating from the Aultman College of Nursing, was a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Department at Aultman Hospital where she became the head nurse and retired in 1994. She was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church where she belonged as a child and took on many leadership positions including teaching Sunday School and serving on the church council. After the closure of Martin Luther Church, she joined Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Judith loved children which was exemplified by her work at the hospital and teaching and leading the children at her churches.
She is survived by her beloved husband, James Keevil with whom she celebrated 45 years of marriage this past November 24. She is also survived by daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Scott Boettler; son, Cristopher Keevil; sister Marcia Gunsoy and four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A private family Funeral Service and Burial were held with Pastor Barbara Bartolomew officiating.
A public memorial service will be Saturday February 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2551 55th St NE, Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Aultman Hospice.
