Judith A. "Judi" Knight, 85, Logansport, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Woodbridge Health Campus, following a brief illness.
Born July 20, 1940, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Betty (Gibson) Grace.
On July 10, 1960, in Logansport, she was married to Charles M. "Chuck" Knight. They were married for 45 years, before he preceded her in death February 25, 2006.
Judi was a 1958 graduate of Logansport High School.
Judi was a stay-at-home mom when her children were young, and once they were grown, she began working outside the home. She worked up until just three weeks ago at Tierney Warehouse, sorting parts with a group of younger coworkers who brought energy to her days. Judi was always curious about new technology, embracing using a smart phone, computer, email and tablet.
For over 60 years, Judi was a proud member of the Delta Chi Sigma sorority. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society with her sister Ann. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends.
You always knew where you stood with Judi – she was very black and white. Judi enjoyed family and holiday traditions. Her cinnamon and dinner rolls were the best, and no one has been able to duplicate them. She started a generational love for baking, passing it down to both her daughter and granddaughter. She enjoyed trips to the casino with her friends Jo and Bridget. Judi was a huge fan of the Indianapolis Colts.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Bob) Dunderman, Logansport; her sons, Kevin Knight (Kym Allen), of Westfield, and Keith Knight, Logansport; her sister, Ann Brenner, Logansport; her grandchildren, Abby Dunderman, Andrew (Mollie) Dunderman, Brandon Knight, and McKenzie Knight,; two great-grandchildren, Amelia Judith Dunderman and Dylan Pomasl; and Bootsie Jackson, her best friend for over 65 years.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tom Brenner.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 14 in Fisher Funeral Chapel. A funeral Service will follow at 7 p.m. with Dawn Fisher officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, October 15 in Woodville Cemetery, near Burrows.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the Elks Lodge beginning at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
In honor of Judi's devotion and steady care, memorial contributions may be made to any organization that supports families living with Parkinson's Disease or funds research for a cure. (See below.) Judi spent 13 years caring for her husband through his long journey with the disease-walking beside him every step of the way, with love, grit, and grace. We'll miss her more than words can say, but there's comfort in knowing she's back in the arms of her beloved Chuck. That thought brings a quiet smile, even through the tears.
