Judith Claire Marron died December 10, 2023 cozy in her bed with her daughter at her side at the Bridge in Alamosa. She was born on April 19, 1933 in
Evanston, Illinois, the first child of Ralph "Robbie" Aldus Robinson and Nadine Yates La Mar Robinson. She began school in Peoria, Illinois where the family moved before settling in
Cedar Rapids, Iowa. At Franklin High School there, she acted in many plays and her photograph was on the cover of the national Thespian magazine when she was the lead in "I Remember Mama." She was named valedictorian, graduating at the top of her class. Judy won a complete scholarship to Coe College and joined Delta Delta Delta sorority. In her freshman year she met the love of her life, Henry "Hank" Riddle Marron, an ROTC student at the University of Iowa, and they married on August 24, 1952.
Hank joined the Army and their first home was at a base in
Falls Church, Virginia. He spent a year in Korea. Upon his return, they moved to Cleveland Ohio where Hank began work as an industrial engineer and Judy was a homemaker. They had three children Elizabeth "Liza" Grace Marron, Mary "Mamie" Alexandra Wakefield (Rich), Henry "Hank" Robinson Marron (Line). The family moved from Ohio to Davenport Iowa for Henry's work, then again to Birmingham Michigan. They retired to
Arlington Heights, Illinois. Judy worked at TransAmerica for 10 years before her retirement.
Her beloved husband Hank preceded her in death, as did a brother David and her parents Nadine and Robbie, a sister-in-law Joanna Schilling, a brother-in-law Jack Walker nephews Robert Marron and Doug Schilling and step grandson Matthew Wakefield. Judy is survived by her brother Stephen Robinson (Pat), her sister Linda Gail Walker, brothers-in-law, Ralph Schilling and Alfred Marron, her daughter Elizabeth, her daughter Mary, her son Henry, grandchildren Cody Geisendorfer (Michelle), Emily Hutchinson, Henry Rodgers (Kylee), Antonio Marron, Colleen Marron, Claudia Marron, step grandchildren Caty Berman (Andy), Adam Wakefield, great-grandchildren Caleb Geisendorfer, Ethan Geisendorfer, Violet Geisendorfer, Owen Geisendorfer, Ella Geisendorfer, Emma Rodgers, Branson Rodgers, step great grandchildren Cohen Sauter, Daxten Sauter, Brecken Sauter, Alex Berman, Ben Berman and Sam Berman. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and foster grandchildren and foster great grandchildren.
Judy will be remembered for deep love of her husband, her quick wit, the way she could command a room with her storytelling, and how she never met a stranger that didn't become a friend. She will be missed.
