Judith Mcguire

Judith Betty McGuire, 81, of Churubusco, passed away at 8:11 a.m., on Friday, October 21, 2022, at her home. She was born in Fort Wayne on January 4, 1941, to the late Luca and Goldie (Lamley) Bodigon. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne and attended Elmhurst High School. Judy was married to Jerry Lee McGuire, in Fort Wayne, On July 17, 1980. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2011. In 1996, Judy retired from G.E. after 30 years of service. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, and embroidering. She had a love for animals, from horses to ostriches, and also loved fishing. Judy was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. She was involved with the Rosary Club and the former Churubusco St. Vincent's food pantry. Judy is survived by her four children, Wally (Trish) Gratz, Pam (Chuck) Voors, Linda Mobley, and Stacy (Krista) Holzinger; four brothers, Jim Bodigon, John (Michelle) Bodigon, Mick (Judy) Bodigon, and Tom (Kim) Bodigon; a sister, Mary (Steve) Smith; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Chad McGuire; a sister, Ann Marie Patten; a brother, Luca Bodigon, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., with calling at the funeral home from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. The family will also receive family and friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with Holy Rosary beginning at 4:00 p.m. The burial will take place in the Blue River Cemetery, Thorn Township. Memorials may be directed to St. John Bosco Catholic Church or the St. Vincent's Food Pantry.
