Judith Carol Odom

Judith Carol Odom passed away on June 23, 2025 at the age of 76. She was surrounded by her loving husband, Richard, and family members.
Judith was born April 12, 1949 in Alexandria, VA to Robert and Frances Ross. She moved around frequently in her childhood due to her father's Air Force military service and work thereafter, but embraced each new location with enthusiasm.
She was the devoted wife of Richard Odom for over 58 years: cherished mother of Richard Leigh Odom, Tricia Carolyn Lieurance, and Katherine Odom-Fillgrove; and beloved grandmother (Juju) of Sarah and Stormy Odom, Madison and Amanda Lieurance, and Daniel Fillgrove. Left to also cherish her memory are her siblings, Joan Knight, Joyce Taber, Glenn Ross and several nieces and nephews.
She devoted her life to family, raising her children and then caring for multiple grandchildren. Her greatest joy was to be surrounded by her family and loved family celebrations and holidays. Gift giving was her love language, including her annual home-made cherry and blueberry cheesecake that she joyfully made for family members over the years. She could be found at all of her grandchildren's events and activities. She also loved gardening, quilting and cross-stitch.
In accordance with Judith's wishes, there will be no funeral services. A small family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at Davita Dialysis Center and the Intensive Care Unit Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital for their professionalism, kindness and compassion.
