Judith R. Ott

Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Prayer Warrior, and Friend

October 15, 1943 – December 3, 2024

Judith R. Ott, known to all as Judy, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the age of 81. She was the devoted wife of James Ott for 54 years and a loving mother to two daughters, Mary Beth MacBeth (husband, Matt) and Kathy Scarborough (husband, Neil). Judy was the proud and adoring grandmother of her cherished grandson, Tom, and granddaughter, Jaime.

Judy was a woman of deep faith and compassion. As a prayer warrior, she carried her family, friends, and loved ones in prayer throughout her life, offering up unwavering support and love through her faith. Her spiritual strength was a cornerstone of her character, and she was a guiding light for many, always ready with a word of encouragement, a prayer, or a listening ear.

Judy had a special love for cooking and entertaining. Whether preparing a meal for her family or hosting gatherings of friends, she created an atmosphere of warmth and joy wherever she went. Her home was always filled with laughter, the scent of delicious food, and the love of those fortunate enough to know her.

In addition to her husband, daughters, and grandchildren, Judy is survived by her beloved brother, John Guianen (wife, Susan); and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and generosity.

Judy's love, faith, and nurturing spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Judy's life at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., Erie, PA 16510, on Saturday, December 21st from 1 pm until the time of the Memorial Service there at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child in her memory.
Judy's legacy of love, prayer, and hospitality will be remembered always.
