Judith L. Paradis, 80, of Lake Cicott, Indiana passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Judy was a Christian woman who loved God. When asked to reflect and share what she was grateful for she never hesitated to share about how grateful she was for her salvation through Jesus Christ. Her love for God naturally led her to love people, animals, and creation as a whole. She was a graduate of Thornton Fractional South High School in Lansing, Illinois. She received an Associates degree from Northwest Florida State College. Judy was an artist who enjoyed painting and working with fabrics.
She was born to the late Samuel E. Gatewood and Wetona H. (Hayes) Gatewood in Hammond, Indiana on March 16, 1944. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Dwaine V. Paradis. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws, Robert J. Paradis, Sr., Beatrice M. (Hamilton) Paradis, brother-in-law Robert J. Paradis, Jr., and sister-in-law, Carole (Young) Gatewood.
Judith is survived by her daughter, Emmalee K. Garate (Cuauhtemoc); grandchildren Judith Elise Beebout (Brock), Eden K. Beasy (T.J.), and Emmalee Erin Anderson (Austin); great-grandchildren Elayna and Reyna Beasy, and Asher, Nöel, Isaac, Luca, Aurelius and Solomon Anderson. She is also survived by her brother, Samuel E. Gatewood, his children, Karen Upfield, Mark (Kim) Gatewood and Jackie (Ted) Mize. Judy’s surviving treasured in-laws include Toni (Lewkowski) Paradis, Lane Paradis, Jacque (Grzych) Paradis and her lovely Paradis nieces, Denise Paradis, Tracy Paradis Gettig, Dawn Thomas, Awen Poepard, and Jill Monroe.
