Judith "Judy" Privott

Judith Bradley Privott, affectionately known as Judy, died on April 19, 2023. Born in Norfolk, VA on April 16, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Francis Paul Bradley and Elizabeth Bernice Long Bradley. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her warmhearted spirit and unwavering kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
Judy attended the public schools of Norfolk, VA until 1963 and finished the last two years of high school at J. P. Knapp, graduating in the Class of 1965. She went on to work for C&P Telephone in Norfolk, VA and, after the death of her parents, became the owner of the Bell's Island Campground in Currituck, NC.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, William G. "Bill" Privott. Together, they built a life full of love and laughter, raising their two children, Janice E. Costner (Keith) of Baker, FL, and William B. "Brad" Privott of Currituck, NC. Judy took immense pride in her role as a mother, and her love for her children knew no bounds.
Her grandchildren, Remington Costner (Savannah) and Jarett Costner, both of Baker, FL, were the apples of her eye. Judy cherished every moment spent with them. In addition to her husband, children, and grandchildren, Judy is survived by her brother, Paul D. Bradley (Angie) of Coinjock, NC.
Judy's passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and community. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Moyock Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Thigpen officiating. Donations may be made in Judy's name to Albemarle Hospice Care Charity, 1507 N. Road Street, Suite #2, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
