Judith Scalese Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home on Dec. 2, 2025.
Judith "Judy" Scalese, 87, of Haverhill, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Benchmark at Haverhill Crossing with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Haverhill on January 5, 1938, daughter of the Late Sylvester and Theresa (Angelotti) Yannalfo.
Judy was educated in the Haverhill School System and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1955. She went on to receive her bachelor's degree from Merrimack College. Judith worked as a Supervisor at Lucent Technologies as well as the Haverhill Public Schools.
Judy was proud of her Italian heritage. Her kitchen was always filled with the delicious aromas of her homemade Italian meals. She took great joy and pride in preparing food for her family and friends. You would never leave hungry or without leftovers.
Judy had a heart as warm as her kitchen. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed and loved, and her home was a gathering place for all. She loved the challenge of a good card game, the satisfaction of completing a difficult puzzle, and the joy of celebrating the holidays with her family and friends. She shared a passion for travel with her beloved husband and dear friends.
Judy is predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Anthony "Jack" Scalese, as well as her brother Paul Yannalfo and his wife Carole, and her brothers-in-law Harold "Red" Neville, Louis Scalese, and sister-in-law Phyllis Sargent.
She is survived by her children Jeffrey P. Scalese and his wife Janet Hosford of Haverhill, and Jody A. Lannan and her husband Stephen of North Andover, her sister Carol Neville and her husband Ken Pelletier of Atlantic Beach, FL. She was the loving grandmother to Alex Lannan and his wife Emily, Anthony Scalese and his wife Shauna, Kristen Shea and her husband Colin, and Taylor Scalese and her husband Matt Watson, her great grandchildren Brayden, Noah, Maya, and Whitney as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated caregivers at Haverhill Crossing and Care Dimension Hospice who provided compassionate support and care for Judy.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours on Friday,
December 5, from 4-6 PM in the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford. Her funeral will begin on Saturday morning at 9 AM at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave, Haverhill. Interment will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill.

Judy will be missed by all who were blessed to be in her life. She had a zest for life, a wonderful disposition and she was as an old fashioned hot ticket! She filled her home with warmth and love. I will never forget the first time I visited the Scalese home, it was like I had lived there for years; the amount of comfort and generosity was amazing and smells simmering from the kitchen was like being in Italy! Judy always had a warm “gravy” with “homemades” and chicken cutlets ready and waiting at all times! Her peppers and mushrooms were my personal favorite! Anytime you spent time visiting with the Scalese’s you always felt loved. Such an amazing family. We love you all and your mom with be forever in our hearts!!
Love you xo
