Judith Diane Swallow

Judith Diane Swallow, age 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 17, 2025, surrounded by her children. She was born on November 11, 1933, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Robert and Opal Maskell.
On May 25, 1957, Judith married Peter Swallow with whom she shared 63 devoted years until his passing on October 31, 2020. Together they built a family rooted in faith. She is survived by her children, David (Brenda) Swallow and Mary Aria; her grandchildren, Hillary, Bailey, Madison, and Garret; and her great-grandchildren, AJ and Henley. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister, Colleen Worden.
Judith lived a life dedicated to her family, her community, and her faith. She was a devoted parishioner of both St. John Catholic Church and St. Augustine Catholic Church. She generously gave her time to causes close to her heart, including the Red Cross of Livingston County, the Howell Humane Society, and Meals on Wheels of Livingston County. For over 20 years, she faithfully volunteered with the Red Cross at Trinity Health Livingston Hospital in Howell, offering comfort and kindness to those in need.
Known for her warm heart and lively spirit, Judith found joy in simple pleasures-caring for her beloved cats, loved flowers, visiting the casino, and faithfully keeping her weekly appointments to have her hair done. Her steadfast Catholic faith guided her life and was a source of strength to her and to those she loved.
Judith will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to family, her generous heart, and the joy she brought to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Visitation for Judith will be held from 3-7pm on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald Chapel in Howell. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Howell celebrated by Fr. Francis George. Friends may visit at the church beginning at 10:00 AM on Wednesday. A private family interment will be at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
