Leslie James Drlik

Leslie J. Drlik age 84 of Durand, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Hurley Medical Center. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, 501 N. Saginaw St., Durand, MI 48429. Pastor John Walworth will be officiating. Burial will follow to Fremont Cemetery in Bancroft. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-8 PM and one hour prior to the service.
Leslie James Drlik was born on November 13, 1940 in Durand, a son of John and Edna (Haist) Drlik. He graduated from Durand High School in 1958 and lived in Durand his entire life. Leslie was also a graduate of the University of Michigan. On June 11, 1960 he married Eva Kingsley. Leslie enjoyed woodworking, collecting John Deere toy tractors, landscaping, traveling, U of M sports, gardening, golfing, and spending time with friends and family. Prior to his retirement in 1998 he worked for General Motors for 6 years, Atkinson Construction for several years, he was a small business owner for 10 years and worked for the United States Postal Service for 14 years.
Leslie is survived by his wife, Eva Drlik; children, Dawn (Mike) Barnefske and Dwain (Angie) Drlik; grandchildren, Shane Barnefske, Aaron Barnefske, Dustin Drlik, Danielle Drlik and Davis Drlik; step-grandchildren, Daniel Liestenfeltz, Joe Liestenfeltz and Regan Wisniewski; great grandchildren, Ethan, Owen, Grant, River, Gwen, Trent and Quinn; sister, Jane (Tim) Griesa; sister-in-law, JoAnne Tattersall; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Edna Drlik; and brother, Jack Drlik.
