Judith F. Williams-Hicks, a beacon of love and adventure, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on July 26, 1934, Judy's life was a testament to her faith-filled spirit and her love for exploration.
Judy is survived by her husband of 25 years, Charles Hicks, son David Reeves, and her daughter Sara Hemmeke, brothers, JL Reynolds and Dallas Reynolds, along with her sisters, Betty Nash, Nellie Jo Rich, and Dianna Lankford, grandchildren Amy Smith, David Smith, and Alison Reeves, and her eight great-grandchildren, as well as seven great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Williams, and her husband, James Williams, her brothers Ed Reynolds, Lonnie Reynolds, and Leon Reynolds, as well as her sister, Noreen Carpenter, and great-grandchild, Nicholas Smith.
Judy's interests included her unwavering faith, actively participating in her church community. Her love for fishing, camping, and sail boating was more than just hobbies; they were expressions of her desire to embrace life fully. Judy's independent nature shone brightly through her solo travels from Michigan to Florida, a journey that many marveled at, as well as her wagon rides with her husband Charles.
There will be a graveside service held for Judy on Friday, July 11th, 2025, at 10am at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens located at 4444 W Grand River Ave, Lansing, MI 48906.
