Judy Bunn Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 14, 2025.
Judy Sue Bunn (nee Langford), passed away, unexpectedly but peacefully, Wednesday October 7, 2025 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Alabama.

Born in Saginaw, Michigan on Dec 7, 1955 to Larcey D. and Ruth E. (nee Maturen) Langford, she was one of nine children. She was preceded in death by both parents, four siblings and a nephew, Mattie.

On Nov 18th, 1972 she married Allen Edward Bunn, Jr. in Chicago, Illinois. Together they had two children Allen (Ashley) Bunn and Linda (Peter) Jones. Judy became the core of the family--hosting holiday parties and never missing an important birthday or anniversary, all while keeping her husband Al from getting into too much trouble. In their 54 years together, they built an amazing life, celebrated some of life's biggest milestones and defeated some of life's biggest obstacles.

Judy was a firecracker of a woman that loved gambling, garage sales and George Strait. Judy was humble, hard-working, simple, and kind. She loved the peace of her home and drinking a cold Dr. Pepper after a long day of yard work. If you made her mad, she would surely let you know. If she loved you, she loved you fiercely and you would know that too.

Most of all, Judy adored her grandchildren Taylor, Kayleigh and Cole. Watching them grow at every stage of their life to never missing a chance to brag about their latest accomplishment -- undoubtedly, they were the very beat of her heart.

At her bedside, Judy's grandson Cole lovingly recited John 14:2-3,

"In my Father's house there are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

We are broken-hearted at the loss of our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. But, we are certain she was received in true Judy fashion: cleaning supplies in hand, ready to help in Jesus's mansion.

A celebration of life will be held in Lake Geneva, WI in mid-November.
