Breaux Bridge, Louisiana - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, honoring the life of Judy Marie Dore', 73, who passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Tuesday, February 18th from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM til 10:00 AM.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Tuesday by her sister, Marilyn LeBlanc.
Rev. Reed Bellingham will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reader will be Marilyn LeBlanc.
Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Marie Dore', a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, who spent her life in service to her family and community.
Judy was a nurturing heart, known for her unwavering dedication to caring for others. She served for many years as a Nursing Assistant at St. Agnes Nursing Home, where her passion for caring for the elderly brought comfort and joy to those around her. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her professional life. She took pride in being there for her loved ones, always ready with a warm smile and a helping hand.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Judy found tranquility in fishing and gardening, where she cultivated both plants and a deep appreciation for nature. Reading and watching television were favorite pastimes, providing her with comfort and entertainment.
Judy is survived by her devoted husband, James Dore'; her loving children, Tommy Dore', Lester Dore' and his partner Sybil Guillory, Charlotte Guidry, and Charlene Guidry. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn LeBlanc, and a host of relatives and friends who cherished her presence.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Merlin Champagne and Mary Kelly; daughter, Sharmene Dore; and her brother, Matthew Champagne.
