Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Ned Dore', 76, who passed away March 12, 2024 at his residence in Opelousas. Reverend Monsignor Keith Derouen, pastor of Our Lady Queen of Angels Church, will conduct the funeral services. Inurnment will be in Gallant Fields, the exclusive veteran's section of Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. 

Survivors include his wife, Gretchen Dore' of Opelousas; one daughter, Rachel Bourgeois and her husband Michael of Lafayette; one sister, Jereline Belaire of Lafayette; and two grandchildren, Peyton and Ainsley Bourgeois of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Niara and Eddie Dore'; and two brothers, Eloy and Ted Dore'.

Ned was born in New Iberia on April 3, 1947. He was a proud member of the United States Army Rangers, serving as a Staff Sargeant and Platoon Leader in the Vietnam War. He lived in Lafayette for most of his life, and was the owner/operator of Doredyn Productions Service. He and his wife Gretchen moved to Opelousas 15 years ago. 

The family requests that visitation be held Saturday from 8:00 - 11:00 am. A rosary will be led by Sr. Doris Roy at 9:00 am.
