Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at St. Bernard Catholic Church honoring the life of James Dore', 80, who passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at his residence.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm. It will continue on Thursday from 8:00 am until 10:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday evening.
Father Reed Bellingham will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.
James found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep love for fishing and nurturing aquariums, spending countless hours immersed in his hobbies. He cherished conversations with family and friends, always ready to lend an ear or share a story, making everyone around him feel valued and welcomed.
He is survived by his sons, Lester Dore' (Sybil Guillory) and Tommy Dore'; daughters, Charlotte Guidry (Pat) and Charlene Guidry (David); brother, Chester Dore' (Barbara); sister, Ernestine Louviere; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Dore'; daughter, Sharmene Bruno; and parents, Lester Dore' and Edith Louviere Dore'.
