Judy Gross

Judy Gross, 81, of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
Judy was born on November 17, 1942 to the late Alfred and Lorraine (Staehler) Fellenz in St. Michael, WI. She attended St. Michael grade school and was a graduate of Kewaskum High School.
In her youth she was a member of the St. Michael 4-H Club where she received various awards for achievement and leadership. She also sang in the church choir and was a member of her church youth group.
On June 9, 1962, Judy married LeRoy Gross in St. Michael Church. They moved to Fond du Lac in 1965.
In 1973, the Gross's established Colonial Gardens Mobile Home Park which they continued to own and operate. LeRoy passed away in 2018.
Judy worked for the Fond du Lac County Nursing Service for 15 years. She also worked in the office of Dr. Joan Regan for 10 years. She was treasurer for the Town of Empire for 4 years after which she retired. Her best job was being a mother.
Hobbies included gardening, reading, crocheting, sewing, visiting nursing homes, and various other projects. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for her children and many grandchildren. Spending time with them was tops.
Judy was a member of St. John the Baptist parish in Johnsburg where she joined the Ladies Society and Thursday morning bible study.
Her previous church affiliation was at St. Patrick in Fond du Lac. While there, she served on the church council and taught religious education to the children.
She is survived by her children Annette and Steven Soldner and their children Jason, Mary (Nic) Wilhelm, Joel (Mandy), Holly (Mark) Domann, Daniel, Patrick (Ashlyn), Erin (friend Scott O'Brien), Soldner, Jenna (friend John Schauer) Soldner and Jill Soldner; Gary Gross and Erica Williams and Gary's children Leah Hugo and Sarah Todd; Michelle Gross and her children Paul Cwian, Michael Cwian, Emily (Tavis) Lipp, Sarah Cwian and Molly Cwian; Bradlee and Lisa Gross and their children Joseph, Ann Marie Gross, Magdalen Gross and Elizabeth Gross; Kurt Gross and his son Bjorn LeRoy. She is further survived by 12 great grandchildren, brothers Paul (Shirley) Fellenz and Daniel (Rita) Fellenz and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ronald and Carol Gross.
In addition to her beloved husband, LeRoy, Judy was preceded in death by her son Joseph, her parents Alfred and Lorraine Fellenz; parents-in-law Albert and Cecelia Gross, and brother Gerald Staehler.
Judy's family invites friends and relatives to a time of visitation at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg, on Thursday, October 24th at 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Judy will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Matthias Cemetery in the town of Auburn.
